Scholarships
Of all the remarkable groups and individuals who added value to Nicholas’s life, the talented medical staff hold a special place in the Koenig's hearts. We’re so thankful for the skills, expertise, knowledge, and compassion of the University of Minnesota pediatric staff. It is unimaginable what Nicholas’s life would have been without them.
As our contribution to the wonderful medical staff, The Nicholas P. Koenig H.E.R.O. Foundation established a permanently endowed scholarship through the University of Minnesota Medical School. The annual scholarship is available to a University of Minnesota 4th year medical student (special preference to students from central MN) going into the field of pediatric oncology.
The Nicholas P. Koenig H.E.R.O. Foundation Scholarship was established at the University of Minnesota Foundation to provide one or more scholarships annually to full-time medical students enrolled at the University of Minnesota Medical School-Twin Cities with demonstrated financial need.
